What do we offer your child?

We have a huge range of experience within our nursery and local contacts; this enables us to develop activities and opportunities that are unique to us.

We offer the following types of play, examples are also given.

	Symbolic play – play with meaning.
	Rough and tumble play – rolling around with each other, rolling on floor.
	Socio-dramatic play - playing house.
	Social play – interacting with other children, adults.
	Creative play – painting, modeling, making things, sticking etc.
	Communications play – Playing with other children and adults.
	Deep play - risky experiences(what they see as risky), conquers fear, riding a bike, going over the climbing frame.
	Exploratory play - manipulating, exploring, discovering, smelling, tasting., sand play, water play.
	Fantasy play - rearranges the world in the child's way, make believe.
	Imaginative play – pretending to be some one else, a character like Sporticus.
	Locomotor play - chase, swinging, climbing
	Mastery play - digging holes, hammering, things children find complicated but challenging.
	Object play - hand-eye coordination, painting.
	Role play - ways of being, driving a car.

A lot of our play types cross over with one another and more than once type can take place at any one time.
